Michael Vick and the Philadelphia Eagles took on the Cleveland Browns, a young team not expected to win many games in 2012. Fantasy
football owners of Eagles' stars had to be licking their lips at this matchup, but Michael Vick gave them every reason to worry about the rest of the season.
Michael Vick threw four interceptions in the game and had to throw a touchdown with five minutes remaining in the game just to pull off the win. Vick ended up with 317 yards, two touchdowns and four interceptions in the game. For fantasy football purposes, it was a disappointing game for Vick and he wouldn't have even reached the teens in fantasy points if not for the last drive of the game.
His number one target was Jeremy Maclin, who finished with seven receptions for 96 yards and a touchdown. That helped the Philadelphia Eagles best receiver finish with 22 points in PPR leagues. The secondary receiver in Philadelphia, DeSean Jackson, finished with four receptions for 77 yards. In PPR leagues, that is 11 points, while in standard leagues it is not worth the start.
LeSean McCoy had a good game, with 110 yards rushing, but he never saw the end zone. With his six receptions for 26 yards, he ended up with 19 points in PPR leagues and 13 in standard leagues.
Brandon Weedon started his rookie season for the Cleveland Browns with a rough game. He only threw for 118 yards with no touchdowns and four interceptions. Anyone who dared to start him were left with three points in leagues that penalize interceptions. Rookie Trent Richardson got his first start, carrying the ball 19 times for 39 yards, giving him three points as well.
The best member of the Cleveland Browns offense in fantasy football scoring was Mohamed Massoquoi, with three catches for 41 yards and seven points in PPR leagues. The Cleveland defense got four interceptions, one fumble recovery and a defensive touchdown to outscore any offensive player on the team (16).
