The NFL got off to a terrific start this past week with a some terrific stories and a few upsets. Week 2 kicks off on Thursday night with an NFC North rivalry game featuring the Chicago Bears on the road to face Green Bay.

Washington and rookie quarterback Robert Griffin look to start the year 2-0 as the Redskins travel to St Louis. Griffin was very impressive in the team's win over New Orléans to start the season and now faces a Rams defense that had three interception in Detroit this weekend.
The Sunday night game has two of the better teams in the NFC facing off with the Detroit Lions taking on the 49ers in San Francisco. The Lions and their high-powered passing attack will look to upset the 49ers and their top defense as both teams enter the contest with a 1-0 record on the season.
Monday night on ESPN features two teams that started the year with impressive wins. Denver opened the year with a tough win over Pittsburgh and Peyton Manning looked like his old self in his début with the Broncos. Atlanta used a strong performance from young quarterback Matt Ryan to defeat Kansas City 40-24.
The NFL was tough for most of the rookie quarterbacks in Week 1, but teams generally make the biggest improvements over the next week as coaches learn a bit more of what their younger players can do and new coaches have a better idea of what to expect from their new team.
