With the NCAA football 2012 schedule picking up for week 3 on Saturday, there will be some great matchups involving the likes of USC, Alabama, Arkansas, Michigan State and Florida. However, the game involving Wake Forest vs. Florida State will be live streaming online for many football fans to enjoy their college division rivalry.
The latest NCAA football live stream on Saturday is via WatchESPN, the official sports broadband network from ESPN. It's a free service that provides not only occasional WNBA, MLB, soccer, cricket and other games, but also college football. This particular division matchup could be a great one, or could also result in a blowout.
It will feature the 2-0 Demon Deacons traveling to play #5 Florida State, also 2-0. While Wake is 1-0 in the ACC coming into the game, it will be FSU's first contest in division play. They're currently favored by as much as four touchdowns, so that's a tall task. Winning seems like it shouldn't be as much of a task, although Wake was able to upset FSU last season at home. Then again, that game saw a banged up EJ Manuel come in for part time play at quarterback.
FSU has won its two previous games by scores of 69-3 and 55-0. If they continue to put on a scoring fest like that, it's going to be a long day for Wake Forest in Doak campbell Stadium. However, the fact is Wake has been able to upset FSU multiple times over the past several seasons. Just this past Monday, FSU coach Jimbo Fisher said of the matchup against his team's first "true test" in Wake Forest:
"Things will happen quicker, faster, tougher, more physical. There's no doubt Wake has better players."
It will truly be an interesting test for Florida State, as they look to keep their #5 ranking in tact. They'll also possibly be looking ahead to next week's big matchup against another tough ACC squad in Clemson, so these next two games could be a good early measuring stick for the FSU Seminoles, a team who many believe could be among those looking towards the national championship early next year.
