The NFL injury report is now out and several big-name fantasy football players will miss this week's action. Here is a look at the top options off the waiver-wire for owners who need help with their rosters this weekend.
Matt Forte is out for the Chicago Bears on Sunday and Michael Bush will get the start. For Fantasy football owners who need depth at running back, Bush is a terrific pickup this late in the week, especially against a St Louis Rams defense that has not stopped the run very well in the first two weeks of the season.
Detroit has struggled to run the ball and should get some help with the return of Mikel Leshoure this weekend. The young running back was suspended for the first two games and should see plenty of action and is a viable option for the rest of the 2012 NFL season.
The injury last week to Aaron Hernandez has some fantasy football owners scrambling to find a decent replacement at tight end. Scott Chandler of Buffalo and Lance Kendricks of St Louis are both good options this late in the week. Chandler seems to catch a touchdown every other week and Kendricks is starting to gain some chemistry with Sam Bradford, making both these young tight ends good options for week 3.
