The Jets newest quarterback has had lots of people try to smack him down verbally since he took the NFL field as a football quarterback, but on Sunday someone finally did it physically, and it turned out to be New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez according to the Yardbarker, who says Mark Sanchez hits Tim Tebow.
In a play against the Florida team that could have snapped up Tebow after his untimely Bronco's exit, Mark Sanchez came out a little too quick on the draw and slammed his pass into the helmet of his potential replacement. Watch it on YouTube.
No harm, no foul. Right? Maybe.
It's no secret that the shirtless hunk in a recent Vogue spread keeps garnering talk of stepping into the quarterback role fulltime, giving Sanchez reason to be antsy, but ESPN reports that Rex Ryan feels that at this point in time that "Mark gives us the best chance to be successful."
If success if measured by winning NFL football games, however, then the loss to the Steelers last week (27 to 10) shows Mark Sanchez isn't as successful as Ryan thinks.
And it isn't the first time the NY Jets coach's thinking skills have been questioned, eh?
Tebow, however, seems to have a history of pulling a team out from behind in the fourth quarter, so his fans are wondering when Ryan is going to let him do that for the Jets. And Ryan is wondering when they're going to realize he's calling the plays, not them.
Both are darn good questions, especially the one about the former Florida player, since Mark Sanchez can't even pass the ball into Tim Tebow's hands it would appear.
