With just four weeks remaining in the 2012 NFL season, teams not making this year's playoffs are already preparing for next season, and getting their draft board in order is a priority. While some teams will use free agency to add more talent, youth will be served this spring when the 2013 draft takes place.
Dan Hope of Bleacher Report has released his latest mock draft, and while most his picks make sense, he does have a few surprises.
Kansas City still has the top overall pick and will look to add a franchise quarterback. Recent reports have draft experts downgrading Geno Smith and Matt Barkley, but Hope has the Chiefs taking Smith with the top pick.
Buffalo is another team that will look for a young quarterback, and the surprise here is Hope has the Bills taking Barkley. The USC quarterback did nothing this year to improve his stock in the draft, but most experts are still high on the young quarterback.
While both of these young men will play in the NFL, when and where they go in the 2013 draft has become a bit clouded over the last month, but a good combine performance and personal workouts can change things quickly for both signal callers.
