The 2013 NFL Draft has plenty of talent on defense and in the trenches, but with several teams looking for quarterback help, trades and teams reaching for a player of need is expected. Here is a closer look at the latest mock draft with projections for every first round pick.
Kansas City has the top overall pick and most experts have the team taking a quarterback, but with the free agent market set to open next month, some football insiders are looking at the Chiefs adding a proven player through free agency or a trade. If a deal does happen, the team can then take offensive lineman Luke Joeckel from Texas A&M, a move that would strengthen the team's roster and give them a better chance for success in the 2013 season.
San Diego is desperate for help on their offensive line and with the eleventh overall selection look for the Chargers to upgrade that unit. Eric Fisher of Central Michigan is climbing the draft boards all around the league with his play this season and his showing at the Senior Bowl. While some might feel this is a reach, Bleacher Report writer Dan Tylicki feels this is an ideal selection for San Diego.
Another player climbing draft boards and now projected as a mid first round pick is Cordarrelle Patterson of Tennessee. The latest NFL Mock Draft now has the young receiver headed to Miami in a move that will give the Dolphins the big receiver they need in the red zone and another weapon for young quarterback Ryan Tannehill.
