While the NY Jets continue their search for a quarterback that can finally lead them deep into the playoffs, recent rumors about the pending release of Tim Tebow have social media buzzing. The former Heisman Trophy winner could still find a job with another NFL team, but reports have the Arena Football League looking to add the young quarterback if he is released.
Orlando Predators owner Brett Bouchy told the Orlando Sentinel that after Kurt Warner turned his AFL experiences into a lucrative NFL career, that Tebow could do the same and that a contract would be available with his team if the former Florida Gators quarterback becomes available.
Tebow and his throwing mechanics have been big news since his arrival in the league and despite leading the Denver Broncos to the playoffs a couple years back, it seems that he has never been given the full reigns of a team and until he becomes more of a conventional quarterback, he might not get another shot.
Moving to the Arena League has its positives as Tebow would get to throw on nearly every down and learn to play at a quicker pace, but leaving behind the money of the NFL and his NY Jets team could prove difficult.
